Balloon Ad Ordinance Gets Preliminary OK

After nearly six months of debate, the city has launched an ordinance to allow major businesses to advertise with balloons.
Council members Tuesday gave preliminary approval to an ordinance that would end Stanton’s longtime prohibition against all balloon advertising.

The ordinance also limits the frequency of balloon advertising, and no more than three large balloon signs--such as whales and gorillas--could fly in the city at any one time.
