Hueneme 21, Camarillo 18--Hueneme’s defense set the tone early, holding Camarillo to 43 yards in the first half at Hueneme.
Hueneme (2-1) tailback Donald Thompson rushed for 84 yards in 10 carries in the half, including a 32-yard touchdown sprint. Also in the first half, quarterback Jeff Garcia connected with five receivers, completing eight of 12 passes for 102 yards.
Thompson finished with 92 yards in 15 carries. Garcia was 10 of 16 for 113 yards and two touchdowns.
Lee Lewis led Hueneme with 60 yards on five receptions.
John Howe had 77 yards in 21 carries for Camarillo (0-3).
