Miami 121, Boston 95--The Heat won this game at Miami but lost Alonzo Mourning with a broken left cheekbone. The 6-foot-10 center faced surgery after the game and his status was uncertain.

Mourning, who averages 19.2 points and 9.7 rebounds, was injured during a scrap for a loose ball with 10:07 left in the third quarter when he collided with Boston’s Andrew DeClercq, who was not hurt.

Voshon Lenard had 26 points to lead Miami, which shot 59% and made 11 of 19 three-point shots in winning for the 25th time in 29 games.

Chicago 106, Detroit 101--The Bulls blew a 17-point lead and got extended to overtime by the Pistons at Chicago, but it could have been worse had Michael Jordan’s defense not kept Grant Hill from scoring at the end of regulation at Chicago. The Pistons have lost 17 in a row at Chicago.

New Jersey 105, Atlanta 90--A well-rested Keith Van Horn, who passed up an offer to take a private jet to San Antonio to watch his alma mater, Utah, play Kentucky in the NCAA championship game Monday, scored 19 of his 22 points in the first quarter to lead the Nets over the Hawks at East Rutherford, N.J.

Van Horn took a poke in the eye in the second quarter.

Cleveland 93, Orlando 86--The highlight of this game at Cleveland was the fight the Magic’s Mark Price got into with the Cavaliers’ Vitaly Potapenko.

Phoenix 97, Houston 86--Jason Kidd scored 17 of his 21 points in the second half, when he made four three-point shots, as the Suns got a rare road victory. The Suns hadn’t beaten a .500 team on the road since winning at San Antonio Feb. 14.

Charlotte 101, Philadelphia 93--Glen Rice scored 26 points and David Wesley’s 15-foot jumper broke a tie late in the fourth quarter as the Hornets won at home.

San Antonio 95, New York 78--Tim Duncan scored 25 points and David Robinson had 24 as the Spurs overpowered the undersized Knicks at New York.
