Cheeses Recalled After Inspection Reveals Bacteria

Share

State agriculture officials have announced the recall of mozzarella and ricotta cheese produced by the Tutto Latte company after the discovery of harmful bacteria during routine sampling.

Listeria monocytogenes was found by inspectors from the Department of Food and Agriculture.

The bacteria are responsible for producing listeriosis, a condition that produces flu-like symptoms in healthy individuals and presents more serious health concerns for pregnant women and people with compromised immune systems.
