In the Academy League

St. Margaret’s 19, Fairmont 0 (5, mercy)--Abbey Arnold hit two home runs, one a grand slam, and pitched a no-hitter. She struck out 13 of the 16 hitters she faced and hit one batter to spoil a perfect game.

In the South Coast League:

No. 2 Mater Dei 9, Mission Viejo 1--Kelsey Kollen scored three runs and had two hits for Mater Dei (12-2, 2-0). She pulled as close as two hits of the Southern Section career record for hits (206), set by Covina Charter Oak’s Julie Smith (1982-86). Kollen has 204.

Tia Bollinger improved to 6-1 with the victory.

In the Michelle Carew Tournament consolation games:

El Dorado 3, Villa Park 1--Melissa Hobson pitched a one-hitter and struck out 14 for El Dorado (8-6). Jill Jessen’srun-scoring triple in the seventh broke a 1-1 tie.

Orange Lutheran 2, Esperanza 1 (8 innings)--Laura Miklos squeezed home the tying run in the bottom of the eighth and scored the winning run on Nicole Sandberg’s squeeze bunt. Orange Lutheran is 9-5.

Rosary 3, Sunny Hills 2--Mallory Anderson gave up one hit and struck out seven in five innings of relief for Rosary (10-5). Erin Hogan had three hits, including an RBI single in the Royals’ three-run first. Sunny Hills is 7-8.

University 15, Santa Ana Valley 6 (5, mercy)--Kristin Scarborough had three hits and five RBIs and Lexae Breeden added four hits and two RBIs for University (5-6).

Valencia 4, Century 3--Valencia scored four runs in the first two innings and Aubrey Zamora, who had a hit and RBI, won her fifth game for the Tigers (7-10).
