Schools that make up the Los Angeles Unified School District’s Canoga Park Cluster will celebrate student achievement Sunday with a festival at Canoga Park High School.

The cluster’s 10 campuses, from kindergarten through elementary and middle school, feed into Canoga Park High.

The fourth annual Festival of Achievement will feature performances and displays created by students.

Members of the California Highway Patrol and the Los Angeles Police Department will also participate. Activities will include canine police demonstrations, a petting zoo and computer demonstrations.

“The festival is a way to celebrate the good things happening here,” Canoga Park High Principal Larry Higgins said.

The free event will show students that what a child learns in elementary school will affect the quality of his high school and possibly college education, Higgins said.

The event will run from 1 to 5 p.m. at Canoga Park High, 6850 Topanga Canyon Blvd. Parking is available in the Topanga Plaza Shopping Center parking lot.
