Interplay Unit Names New President

* Tom Reed has been named president of Interplay Films, the new motion picture and television division of Interplay Productions in Irvine. The parent company develops and publishes interactive entertainment software. Reed was formerly vice president at Imagine Entertainment.

* James V. Thomas has been appointed president of the Multi-Family Property Management division of Sares-Regis Group in Irvine. He will oversee 9,000 units in California, Colorado, Arizona and Nevada. Thomas had been senior vice president since 1991.

* Bill Henwood has been appointed vice president of sales at Liquidmetal Golf in Laguna Niguel. Henwood was previously senior vice president of sales and marketing for Nicklaus Golf Equipment Co. He also has held a variety of positions at Tony Penna Golf Co., Pinseeker Golf and MacGregor Golf.

* A. Martin Morgenstern has been named senior vice president at Cushman Realty Corp. in Newport Beach, a commercial real estate brokerage. Morgenstern, who also serves as national managing director of Cushman Investment Services, has been vice president.

* Roxani M. Gillespie has joined the board of directors of Centris Group Inc., a Costa Mesa provider of insurance and reinsurance products and services. Gillespie has been a partner since 1997 with the law firm of Barger & Wolen, and before that was a partner at Buchalter, Nemer, Fields and Younger, where she was in charge of the firm’s insurance practice. She served as California insurance commissioner from 1986 to 1991. Gillespie succeeds Ken Tyler, who is retiring for health reasons.

* Michael Schleider has been appointed vice president of sales and marketing at SRS Labs Inc. in Santa Ana. He was formerly vice president of sales and marketing at IMC Networks. Before that, he was general manager of the audio intelligibility department at Hughes Aircraft Co.

* Kevin A. Rogers has been named senior vice president of Pacific Alliance Capital Management, the investment division of Union Bank of California. He is the managing director of portfolio management and is based at the Irvine office. Rogers joined the bank in 1994 as a senior portfolio manager.

* Mark Purcell has joined Palley-Needelman Asset Management Inc. in Newport Beach as regional director for the Northwestern states. He was formerly regional manager, marketing and client services for D.B. Campbell II

Brandes Investment Partners LP in San Diego. In addition, Daniel B. Campbell II joined the company as security analyst. He was previously senior investment manager for Constellation Investments Inc. in Baltimore.

* Kristine Engelke is the new corporate controller at Robert Bein, William Frost & Associates in Irvine. She is a former manager at Deloitte & Touche LLP in Costa Mesa.

* Jeb S. Hurley has been elected to the board of directors of CalComp Technology Inc. in Anaheim. He succeeds Neil A. Knox, who has resigned to focus on expanded responsibilities as vice president and general manager of the Networking Products group of Sun Microsystems Computer Co. Hurley is vice president and general manager of the Commercial Imaging Business, Kodak Professional division of Eastman Kodak Co. He also serves on the board of directors for the Image Bank, an Eastman Kodak subsidiary.

* Gregg S. Janes has joined Kettley Publishing in Newport Beach in the newly created position of development director. He was previously vice president of marketing with Litigation Analytics Inc. in Ridgefield, Conn., and before that was vice president of marketing for Pam International Co. in Saddlebrook, N.J.

* Joy Malek has been named vice president and account supervisor for TH&M; Advertising in Irvine. She had been director of marketing at Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate at corporate headquarters in Mission Viejo.

* T. Edward Malpass has joined the Irvine law firm of Wood, Bohm & Francis. He will head the firm’s Bankruptcy and Creditor’s Rights department. Malpass, currently a sole practitioner, was formerly with the Los Angeles office of Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue.

* Lynn Cotton has joined Irvine-based Marine National Bank’s new Financial Services division as vice president and manager. She previously held a similar position with Pacific National Bank.

* Steven E. Delson has been named principal and chief executive of the newly formed firm of Advantage4 Power & Communications Systems LLP in Aliso Viejo, a provider of utility system alternatives for real estate projects. Delson was formerly executive vice president of the Mission Viejo Co.

* Sharon Tetlow has been appointed vice president of finance and administration and chief financial officer of Reprogen Inc., an Irvine reproductive medicine company. Before joining Reprogen, she worked for Terrapin Technologies Inc., Synergen Inc., Genentech Inc. and Eli Lilly.
