Shields, Wyle in ‘Burning’ Benefit
Lou Diamond Phillips, Brooke Shields and Noah Wyle will perform a staged reading of “Burning Desire,” a modern version of the Adam and Eve story written by Phillips.
Swoosie Kurtz will host and narrate the two benefit readings.
Phillips will play the devil and Shields and Wyle will play the tempted couple.
Performances are scheduled for 8 p.m.Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 at the Coronet Theatre, 366 N. La Cienega Blvd., Los Angeles.
Tickets are $50 for the play and $100 for the play and a post-performance reception with the actors. The performance will benefit the AIDS Project Los Angeles and Playwrights’ Kitchen.
