TONIGHT
* JAMES MADISON (6-3) at CAL STATE NORTHRIDGE (6-4), 7 p.m.--This is the first of two nonconference home games before Northridge begins Big Sky Conference play Jan. 2. But the Dukes are not a patsy under second-year Coach Sherman Dillard, a James Madison alumnus. Senior Chatney Howard averages 16 points and sophomore Jabari Outtz, a transfer from Howard, averages 14. James Madison defeated UC Irvine, 71-57, Sunday. Northridge will try to rebound from Saturday night’s 114-97 loss to UCLA by building on the 61 points scored in the second half against the Bruins. Brian Heinle, the Matadors’ 6-foot-9 center, had 12 points and one rebound against UCLA, but he should have more room to maneuver against the smaller Dukes.
