Whales to Give Way to Annual Pet Parade

After letting the whales get all the attention for the last two weeks, other animals will take center stage Feb. 28 at the fifth annual Animal Rescue Foundation Wag-a-thon.

The fund-raiser is expected to attract 1,600 dogs, cats and other pets for a parade around Harbor Island.

Registration will start at 7:30 a.m. and costs $22. The parade begins at 9 a.m.

Prizes will be handed out in several categories, including those for pets with the best trick and best costume.
