Grant Has Too Much for Cleveland, 63-47

Angela Terry scored 20 points and had 11 rebounds, seven steals and four blocked shots Friday to help Grant High to a 63-47 victory over Cleveland at Grant.

Nakeisha Perkins had 18 points and 19 rebounds, and Leslie Mui added seven points and eight assists for Grant (11-3).

Schquay Brignac had 16 points, six assists and six steals for Cleveland (7-3).

Granada Hills 65, University 30--Jessica Cosby had 25 points and 17 rebounds, and Lindy Gayton added 15 points and 14 rebounds for the Highlanders at University.

Verdugo Hills 46, Hollywood 32--Maria Felix scored 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Dons (2-9, 1-3) in Northern Conference game at Verdugo Hills.

Glendale 52, Hoover 49--Alina Markari scored 13 points for the Dynamiters (10-6, 1-0) in a Pacific League game at Glendale.

Crescenta Valley 75, Pasadena 11--Kristie Umemoto sank five of six three-point shots and scored 20 points for the Falcons (11-1) in a Pacific League opener at Crescenta Valley.

Michelle Greco had 19 points, eight rebounds, six assists and four blocked shots for the Falcons.

Valencia 49, Canyon 32--Tiffany Morgan had 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Vikings (12-4, 1-0) in a Foothill League game at Valencia.

Cheryl Grucelski scored 10 points for Canyon (7-11, 0-1).

Boron 41, Montclair Prep 39--The Mounties (2-5) missed three shots in the final 12 seconds at Montclair Prep.

Laura Power had 14 points, 17 rebounds and five assists for the Mounties.

Calabasas 41, Malibu 32--Stephanie Goldman scored 18 points for the Coyotes (7-5) in a Frontier League opener at Malibu (1-13).

Jennifer Schmidt had 15 points and nine rebounds for Malibu.

Nordhoff 71, Santa Paula 40--Nell Becker had 20 points, 10 assists and nine steals for the Rangers (12-4, 1-0) in a Frontier League game at Santa Paula.

Christen Roper had 19 points and 15 rebounds, and Erin Barker added 19 points for Nordhoff.

Erica Vint had 19 points for the Cardinals.

Meaghan Finnerty added 13 points for Moorpark, while Nicole Palomares led the Saints in scoring with 10 points.

Hart 64, Saugus 35--Melissa Harrison had 17 points, six rebounds and five steals to lift the Indians (11-2) in a Foothill League opener at Saugus.

Brianna Kentfield added 12 points for Hart, which outscored the Centurions, 47-22, after the first quarter.
