Lopez, from Century High, made his biggest shot of the season Friday when he hit a three-pointer with six seconds left to give Orange Coast a 60-59 upset of first-place Irvine Valley. Lopez had 14 points and seven rebounds against Irvine Valley, and had 26 points on eight-of-11 shooting in a 106-91 victory over Santa Ana earlier in the week. He was seven for 11 from three-point range in the two games.

Baca, from Norwalk Glenn High, put her quest for the Fullerton career scoring title behind her with a 24-point performance in a 72-71 upset of Santa Ana Friday. The point total gave her 928 in her career that has at least eight regular-season games left. Peggy Reid (1977-79) held the previous record at 917. Baca scored 21 points in a 94-68 victory over Saddleback last Wednesday and is averaging 15 points.
