Don’t Say Claire Didn’t Care

During the past 12 baseball seasons when my name has appeared in the “Viewpoint” section on Saturday morning, it usually hasn’t been the type of thing that has sent me to the family scrapbook. Even so, the occasional written jabs directed at me showed how much you, the fans, cared about the Dodgers. Strangely enough, that put us on common ground. I cared about the Dodgers with all of my heart during a 30-year career with the organization.

I will miss being a part of the Dodgers, but I wish the team and its wonderful fans nothing but the very best. I also will miss the support shown to me by Dodger fans. I want to thank you for the words of encouragement that I have received through the years.
