Twins Put Tewksbury on DL
Minnesota right-hander Bob Tewksbury was put on the 15-day disabled list because of tendinitis in his right biceps.
The Twins recalled left-hander Travis Miller from Salt Lake of the Pacific Coast League to replace Tewksbury, who was 5-9 with a 4.35 earned-run average in 18 starts.

Chicago White Sox catcher Charlie O’Brien, best known for his defensive skills and having caught 10 Cy Young Award winners during his career, is expected to be sidelined three weeks after suffering a broken right thumb against Cleveland.
O’Brien was diagnosed with a chipped fracture and dislocation of his right thumb after being hit with a foul tip in the third inning.
