Brendan Kingman of the JetHawks was selected California League player of the week for his performance May 18-24. Kingman, a catcher from Australia, was recently selected to the Valley Division’s all-star team.

Joe Nathan held Lancaster to four hits and struck out nine batters in seven shutout innings to lead San Jose to a 4-0 victory at Municipal Stadium on Wednesday night. It was the JetHawks third consecutive loss to San Jose.

SUNS

The Suns wasted a strong pitching effort by Eric King in a 2-1, 11-inning loss to Tri-Cities. King allowed seven hits and struck out eight in nine innings for Pacific (2-9).
