Huntington Beach Ocean View 9, Westminster La Quinta 3--Senior right-hander Pete Montrenes struck out six and scattered seven hits in seven innings, and the underdog Seahawks pounded out 14 hits to win the Division IV title.

Ocean View (21-10) sent nine batters to the plate in the first inning against La Quinta right-hander Jason Garcia (12-2) and took a 3-0 lead. After La Quinta (30-2) closed to 3-2 on a two-run homer by catcher Gerald Laird, Ocean View scored four more runs in the third to put the game out of reach.
