Christy Ring

Calvary Chapel, Senior; Softball/Shortstop

Ring helped the Eagles win a second consecutive Southern Section championship by collecting two hits and four stolen bases and scoring the game-winning run in a 1-0 victory over Orange Lutheran in the Division V final at Lakewood Mayfair Park. She made some key defensive plays to help keep Orange Lutheran off the scoreboard.

Kelsey Kollen/Softball/Second base

* Mater Dei, senior. Delivered key run-scoring hits in the semifinals and finals last week to help the Monarchs win the Division I title.

Candie Kung/Golf

* Fountain Valley, junior. Shot a five-under-par 67 to set a tournament and course record at the CIF-SCGA finals at the SCGA Members’ Club in Murrieta.

Katie Rorem/Track and Field

* Marina, junior. Set the county record in the pole vault, clearing 12 feet 4 inches to finish second at the state championships.
