The JetHawks (38-28) got 14 hits and won their sixth consecutive game, an 8-2 victory over the Bakersfield Blaze Wednesday night at Bakersfield.

Lancaster has the second-best record in the California League behind San Jose.

Bernie Nunez singled in Frank Valdez with one out in the bottom of the ninth to cap a four-run inning and give the Suns (5-12) a 6-5 victory over the Tri City Posse (8-10) at Oxnard College.

Valdez, returning from an injury that sidelined him for the last 14 games, had three hits and two RBIs.

Lovullo, a third baseman, is third in the league with a .333 batting average. . . . Roland De La Maza (St. Genevieve High) is 5-4 after allowing four runs in six innings of a 9-5 victory over Calgary. . . . Ryan Radmanovich (Pepperdine) hit his sixth home run for Tacoma.

Double-A--David Newhan (Pepperdine) had four hits, three runs batted in and hit his sixth home run for Mobile. Teammate Mike Mitchell (Rio Mesa) drove in two runs with a double. . . . Gabe Kapler (Taft, Moorpark College) continued his blistering pace with three hits, including his 13th home run for Jacksonville. Kapler was chosen Southern League player of the week twice in the last month. . . . Adam Kennedy (Northridge) had a single and double for Arkansas.
