Crash Kills Suspected Drunk Driver
ANAHEIM —
A suspected drunk driver was killed in a fiery crash in Anaheim early Sunday, police said.
The man, who has not been identified, apparently lost control of the car about 2 a.m. as he was speeding east along La Palma Avenue near Potomac Circle, police said.
The car crossed the center divider and swung into the westbound lanes. Then it spun and hit a light pole and utility pole before bursting into flames.
The driver, who was alone, was thrown from the car and died on the scene from his injuries, police said.
