Girl, 12, Stabbed to Death, Deputies Say
A 12-year-old Alhambra girl whose body was found in a closet in her home last week had been stabbed to death, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies said Sunday.
Investigators found Vanessa Sanchez’s body Friday afternoon in the Alhambra apartment where she lived with her mother, one day after Vanessa’s mother had reported her missing, deputy James Hellmold said.
Hellmold said Vanessa had been stabbed and that her death is being investigated as a homicide. Hellmold said that no suspects have been identified.
