Three Boy Scouts Achieve Eagle Rank

Three Orange County Boy Scouts recently earned their Eagle Scout rank and are being praised for their success.
The boys--Robert G. Harmston, Andrew J. Dimpfl and Robert Yuhas--received the highest Scouting kudos for community projects they initiated. They join the 2% of all Boy Scouts who attain the Eagle rank.
Harmston, a 16-year-old Fullerton Union High School student and Boy Scout from Troop 1201, earned his rank by building a trail with a ramp at Upper Newport Bay in Newport Beach. He said he built the ramp so that those who use wheelchairs can also enjoy the bay.
His accomplishment was recognized earlier this year at the First Presbyterian Church in Fullerton.
Dimpfl, 15, of Yorba Linda, is a member of Explorer Post 684. He earned his rank by being a dedicated member of the Presbyterian Church of Hacienda Heights. He painted a church preschool and volunteered in projects that helped the needy.
Yuhas, of La Habra, performed similar tasks and was recognized at a La Habra City Council meeting this week.
