Apparent Robbery Victim Found Dead in Parking Lot
A man who had apparently been robbed was found shot to death in his car outside a Manhattan Beach business, authorities said Thursday.
The body of 43-year-old Daniel Potter was discovered shortly before 7 p.m. Wednesday in the parking lot of Mr. Pocket Billiards on north Sepulveda Boulevard, said Los Angeles Sheriff’s Deputy Boris Nikolof. He said Potter suffered a gunshot wound to his upper torso and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Nikolof said Potter’s wallet was missing and investigators believe he may have been the victim of a robbery.
