Randy McKay scored all three goals and the New Jersey Devils all but wrapped up their second consecutive Atlantic Division title with a 3-2 victory over the Flyers at East Rutherford, N.J., on Tuesday night.

Bobby Holik assisted on all three goals as the Devils opened a 12-point lead over the second-place Flyers with a dozen games left in the regular season. Philadelphia has 13.

“Some players play well against different teams,” said McKay, who has six goals against the Flyers this season. “I do have my teams I have succeeded against in the past. This year against Philly.”

The Devils have really gotten up for the Flyers this season, posting a 4-0-1 record and outscoring them 18-8.

Alexandre Daigle scored both goals for the Flyers, who had a goal by Chris Gratton disallowed with 21.8 seconds left. Gratton appeared to kick the puck and John LeClair was in the crease.

“I guess they called a guy in the crease,” Gratton said. “It was a tough call. Everything was legal, I thought.”

Phoenix 4, Toronto 2--Teppo Numminen, Mike Stapleton and Shane Doan scored on consecutive shots 1:58 apart to lift the Coyotes at Phoenix.

Rick Tocchet also scored and Nikolai Khabibulin made 23 saves to post consecutive victories for the first time since Jan. 3. The Coyotes have won eight of the last 10 meetings (8-1-1) between the teams.

Hasek has not given up more than two goals in 15 of his last 17 games.

After a two scoreless periods, the Sabres got all the offense they needed 11 seconds into the third when Audette banged a loose puck past Rick Tabaracci for his 19th of the season.

Brown added an empty-netter with 45 to play.
