Dana Hills Scores in Seventh Inning to Beat Tritons

Brittany Anzlovar’s base hit in the seventh inning drove in the game-winning run as visiting Dana Hills defeated San Clemente, 2-1, in South Coast League softball Friday.

Anzlovar finished two for three. Lana Rose Tirre’s double in the second inning drove in San Clemente’s run.

Dana Hills is 8-11, 2-4. San Clemente is 10-12-1, 3-3.

In the Golden West League:

Tustin 3, Santa Ana 2--Angie Lopez scored the go-ahead run in the fifth when Ashley Cappucci hit into a fielder’s choice. Tustin is 8-10-1, 3-3.

In the Sea View League:

Irvine 6, El Toro 4--Heather McConnell had two RBIs in Irvine’s five-run seventh. Three of Irvine’s runs in that inning were unearned. El Toro (16-9, 3-2) scored its runs in the third. Irvine is 18-4, 3-2.

In nonleague tennis:

No. 7 Mission Viejo 12, Santa Margarita 6--Eric Bachelor swept in singles, 6-1, 6-0, 6-0, for Mission Viejo (15-2).

In Empire League boys’ volleyball:

Kennedy 3, Loara 2--Cliff Okada had 66 assists as Kennedy won, 15-10, 12-15, 15-6, 13-15, 15-13. Rupesh Bhakta had 29 kills for the Fighting Irish (11-5, 7-5).

Mike Eshelman had 36 kills for Loara (8-8, 6-6).

In the Pacific Coast League:

Laguna Hills 3, No. 2 Laguna Beach 1--Eugene Kim had 11 kills and Andy Johnson 10 for Laguna Hills (4-9, 3-5), which won, 15-7, 15-13, 10-15, 15-7.

University 3, Costa Mesa 2--Matt Larson had 27 assists and Nima Farhadi had 56 assists to lead University to a 15-9, 7-15, 14-16, 15-13, 15-9, victory.

In the Sea View League:

No. 1 Newport Harbor 3, No. 8 El Toro 0--Matt Jameson had 12 kills as Newport Harbor won, 15-6, 15-8, 15-9. The Sailors are 16-0, 8-0.

No. 3 Santa Margarita 3, Irvine 0--Adam Breault had 11 kills in Santa Margarita’s 15-13, 15-12, 15-9 victory. The Eagles improve to 11-3, 6-2.

No. 5 Corona del Mar 3, Woodbridge 0--Greg Burden had 10 kills and Kevin Hansen had 20 assists to lead Corona del Mar to a 15-5, 15-4, 15-7 victory.
