Six home runs propelled Simi Valley High to a 13-9 victory over Westlake in a Marmonte League baseball game Monday at Westlake.
The Warriors (12-8, 6-4 in league play) countered with home runs by Ryan Cope, Scott Dragicevich and David Williamson, but it wasn’t enough to keep them from dropping into a second-place tie with Camarillo.
For the Pioneers (12-9, 5-5), Todd Sherwin, Andy Gerber, David Land, Andy Karp, Jesse Kozlowski and Bobby Stockwell homered to spearhead a 13-hit attack.
There were 13 extra-base hits in the game, including triples by Westlake’s Joey Cuppari and Simi Valley’s Brandon Vorhees.
