Another Save for Wallace

Derek Wallace (Chatsworth High, Pepperdine), continuing a remarkable comeback, earned his fourth save for Norfolk of the triple-A International League by pitching 1 1/3 innings in a 5-3 victory over Louisville on Sunday. Wallace suffered an aneurysm in his right arm last spring while with the New York Mets and was sidelined most of last season. He is 1-0 with an earned-run average of 1.80.

Robert Crabtree (Northridge) picked up his second victory and lowered his ERA to 1.80 by hurling three scoreless innings in San Jose’s 3-1 victory over Bakersfield.
