Randy Wolf (El Camino Real High, Pepperdine) continues to impress as he rises through the Philadelphia Phillies farm system. In two starts since being promoted to triple-A Scranton-Wilkes Barre of the International League, the left-handed pitcher is 1-0 with a 1.20 earned-run average, striking out nine and walking one in 15 innings.

“He’s the best pitching prospect I’ve seen in a while,” said Reggie Jackson, New York Yankee executive and Hall of Famer.

Wolf was named pitcher of the month for April in the Phillie organization. He was 2-0 in double-A before the promotion.
