Brea Olinda Boys Finish in Fifth Place

The Brea Olinda boys, who finished fifth in Division III Southern Section finals Saturday, were the only team from Orange County to finish among the top 10. Paso Robles won the boys’ title with 243 points and South Pasadena won the girls’ title with 160.

The Brea Olinda boys finished with 121 points.

Brea won the 200 medley relay in 1 minute 39.75 seconds.

Brea’s Oliver White won the 100 backstroke (51.85), which would give him the third-fastest time in the county. White was second in the 100 butterfly, finishing 0.4 seconds behind Justin Boyes of Paso Robles (51.44). Matt Sprankle of La Quinta was fourth in 53.67.

Josh Louvier of Calvary Chapel finished fourth in the 200 individual medley (1:58.54) and fifth in the breaststroke (1:00.74). Calvary Chapel finished 15th with 44 points.

The Pacifica girls led the way for the county, finishing 41st with 10 points. No county girls qualified for the finals.
