* Southern California Golf Assn. team and boys’ individual finals, SCGA Members Club, Murrieta, 1:30 p.m. Tuesday: Sophomore Brian Sinay, who won the Southern Section individual title in 1997, junior Ron Won and sophomore Ryan Miller lead University. Fountain Valley is the only other county team that advanced to the SCGA finals, and the Barons are led by senior Jeff Greenfield and junior Candie Kung. Foothill’s Nick Seymour, the Brea Olinda twins Alex and Brad Oh, Servite’s Nico Bollini, El Toro’s Donald Rhee and Corona del Mar’s Chad Towersey qualified for the finals as individuals.

* SCGA girls’ individual finals, SCGA Members Club, Murrieta, 7:30 a.m. Tuesday: Woodbridge senior Yon Yim and Fountain Valley’s Kung tied for medalist honors at the Southern Section girls’ individual finals but lost in a playoff to Redlands East Valley’s Gina Umeck. Yim, Kung and Mission Viejo junior Carla Legaspi lead 13 county golfers who qualified.
