Pedestrian Bridge Will Link Santa Fe Springs Development

Share

A pedestrian bridge being built across the intersection of Telegraph Road and Norwalk Boulevard in Santa Fe Springs will link a new office and retail development in a public-private partnership.

The Heritage Springs Pedestrian Bridge will connect the Heritage Corporate Center on the southwest corner of the intersection with the Heritage Springs office complex on the northwest corner.

Brea-based Santa Fe Partners is developing the office projects, which are planned to accommodate more than 200 businesses. The bridge and a nearby sculpture garden will cost $6.9 million.

The elevated walk will be decorated with photographic tiles illustrating Santa Fe Springs’ history. Pedestrians will be able to look in any direction from the bridge and compare the view with images of the city’s past.

The bridge was designed by Thirtieth Street Architects Inc., with landscaping by Peridian International Inc. Both companies are based in Newport Beach.

The Santa Fe Springs Community Development Commission is funding the bridge and sculpture garden, which are expected to be completed in July.
