2 Killed in Halloween Drive-By; Suspects Sought
Investigators are looking for gunmen who killed two people and injured two others during a drive-by shooting on Halloween, an LAPD detective said Monday.
LAPD South Bureau Homicide detectives are searching for a group of gunmen who opened fire on four people, Det. Rudy Lemos. said. The number of gunmen is not known.
Gunmen in a dark-colored compact vehicle shot toward the driveway of a residence in the 9500 block of Grandee Avenue, hitting Orie Windfield, 25, and Eric Davis, 19. The gunmen chased Aaron Dotson, 30, and Norma Starling, 32, firing several rounds into their car, killing them, the detective said.
Lemos said that all four victims were taken to local hospitals, where Windfield and Davis were treated for injuries and released and Dotson and Starling were declared dead.
The motive for the shooting has not been established, but it may be gang related, Lemos said.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call (213) 237-1310.
