Campbell Hall 42, Southern California Christian 14--Sean Porter rushed for 275 yards and three touchdowns for the Vikings in an Academy League victory at Birmingham High.

Porter scored on a 43-yard run on the first play from scrimmage for Campbell Hall (2-5, 1-3) and added touchdown runs of two and 25 yards.

On Campbell Hall’s next possession, fullback Michael Womack capped a 14-play, 61-yard drive with a one-yard run late in the first quarter. Quarterback Aaron Kerr hooked up with wide receiver Matt Kaplan on the two-point conversion to give the Vikings a 14-0 lead.

Linebacker Greg Bees put Southern California Christian (0-7, 0-4) on the board when he intercepted a pass by Kerr, who completed three of 11 for 69 yards, and ran 102 yards for a touchdown. The Vikings scored two touchdowns late in the first half on a one-yard run by junior Darius Ingram and a two-yard run by Porter to put the game away.

Campbell Hall held the Flames to eight yards from scrimmage on 14 plays in the first half.

The Flames’ lone highlight in the second half was a touchdown on a 46-yard halfback option pass from Bees to quarterback Andrew St. Clair. Bees completed three of five passes for 77 yards on halfback options.

Southern California Christian suited up only 14 players.
