Public’s Help Sought in Search for 4 Fugitives

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department is asking the public’s help in locating four fugitives wanted for crimes ranging from probation violations to failure to appear for sentencing.

Alma Amalia Perez, also known as Alma Ruelas, 32, was convicted of assault with a deadly weapon and willful child endangerment. She was placed on probation, but has violated that probation, authorities said, and two warrants have been issued.

Perez last lived in Oxnard. She is Latina, 5 feet 3, 120 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. She has the tattoos “Lorenzo” and “Maria” on her left leg.

Joe Edward Stephens, 42, pleaded guilty to felony charges of evading arrest and driving with wanton disregard for public safety. He has failed to appear for sentencing. He last lived in the Ventura Avenue area and worked as a self-employed welder.

Stephens is white, 5 feet 11, 170 pounds and has gray hair and blue eyes. His tattoos include a dragon on his back, an eagle on his chest and a dragon on his left biceps.

Jack Lashawn Lee, 29, was arrested on suspicion of receiving stolen property and released from jail on a promise to appear in court. He never showed up, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Lee last lived in the 700 block of West 5th Street in Oxnard. He is black, 6 feet, 195 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. He also uses the names Jacque Lee and Don Trell Hill.

Jose Guadalupe Munoz, also known as Vasquez Lopez, was convicted of spousal battery and has violated the terms of his probation. He is also wanted on suspicion of driving under the influence. Three warrants have been issued. Munoz last lived in the 400 block of H Street in Oxnard and last worked in construction.

Munoz is Latino, 5 feet 8, 185 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes.
