Man Wins Stalking Suit Against Garvey’s Ex-Wife
Restaurateur Hans Rockenwagner was awarded $25,000 Wednesday in a stalking lawsuit he filed against Cyndy Truhan, former wife of onetime Dodgers and Padres baseball star Steve Garvey.
Rockenwagner said in his Superior Court suit that he feared for his life after breaking off a two-year relationship with Truhan in November 1995.
Rockenwagner said Truhan, who at one time was a morning television talk show host in Los Angeles, broke into his home, showed up repeatedly at his restaurant, stole his address book, told officials he was trying to smuggle something during a Christmas trip to his native Germany and telephoned him 35 times in one night.
Truhan’s publicist, Linda Grey, said her client suffered from stress and severe depression after breaking up with Rockenwagner. Truhan said her erratic behavior stemmed from medication she was taking at the time.
