St. Paul 41, Palmdale 10--The Swordsmen (9-2) used 401 yards of well-balanced offense to wear down the Falcons (6-5) at St. Paul.

Trailing, 14-0, early in the first quarter, Palmdale cut St. Paul’s lead in half when Terry Furlow connected with Shane Johnson on a 38-yard pass play with 4:07 remaining.

Manuel Murillo helped the Swordsmen dominate from that point on, finishing with three touchdowns and 154 of his team’s 205 yards in 27 carries. Marquis Murray ran for 53 yards in 15 carries for Palmdale.

Furlow, after completing his first five passes, threw two passes that were intercepted and another that fell incomplete. He finished with 63 yards. Mike Johnson took over for Furlow and completed three of 12 passes for 22 yards.

Shane Johnson had five receptions for 56 yards for Palmdale, which was held to 53 yards in the second half.

Anthony Valentino kicked a 47-yard field goal for the Falcons with 9:22 remaining in the fourth quarter for the game’s final points.
