Selanne Skates, but Green Sits
The Ducks are closer to getting Teemu Selanne (strained right thigh) back, but they now have to worry about center Travis Green.
Selanne skated in Saturday’s practice, but Green did not, sitting out because of an injured left knee suffered in Friday’s game against the Edmonton Oilers. Duck officials are concerned about both so much that right wing Frank Banham and center Josef Marha were brought in from the team’s minor league affiliate in Cincinnati.
“They are up here in case some guys can’t go,” Coach Craig Hartsburg said. “We have some bumps and bruises.”
With Green, it’s more of a twist.
“It’s worse today than it was last night,” Green said. “I was off-balance and got bumped and turned it. It wasn’t a big hit or anything like that. I had a similar thing happen to my other knee a few years ago and I missed three weeks. I don’t think this is as bad.”
He was examined by the team doctor Saturday and, like Selanne, is listed as day-to-day.

Banham may only be up for a short visit, but Hartsburg said Marha is here to stay.
Marha opened the season with the Ducks, but sprained his right ankle in the opener against Washington. He recovered slowly and was sent to Cincinnati on Nov. 6 to get back in shape. Marha played in three games in Cincinnati.
