Hueneme 43, Channel Islands 14--Donald Thompson rushed for 252 yards and four touchdowns to pace Hueneme at Channel Islands.

The Vikings (3-4, 2-0) score on all five of their first-half possessions and out-gained the Raiders (0-6-1, 0-1), 314 yards to 73, en route to a 36-0 halftime lead.

Hueneme receiver Keary Colbert set up the final two touchdowns of the half with a 63-yard run on a reverse and a 45-yard reception that gave the Vikings a first down at the Channel Islands 10-yard line. Thompson ran for a touchdown on the next play.

Channel Islands running back Russell Patton, who was limited to 54 yards in 16 carries, caught a 42-yard touchdown pass from Robert Vorba midway through the third quarter to put the Raiders on the scoreboard.

Hueneme gained 473 yards and held the Raiders to 182.

Hueneme quarterback Jeff Garcia completed five of seven passes for 107 yards, including a 12-yard scoring pass to Moses Gonzales to open the scoring midway through the first quarter. The play capped an 80-yard opening drive.

Channel Islands had the ball for only 2:20 in the first quarter and ran only three plays good for four yards.
