Valley 36, East L.A. 33--Eric Holtfreter threw for 381 yards and three touchdowns as the Monarchs (3-3, 2-1) rallied from behind to beat the Huskies (1-5, 0-3) in a WSC Southern Division game at Valley.

Valley trailed, 26-14, with 9:44 left in the third quarter when Holtfreter started picking apart the Huskies’ secondary. He hit Shaun Avalos for a 59-yard touchdown pass with 2:07 left in the third and then finished the scoring with a 33-yard scoring pass to Dominic Early with 11:33 to play.

Holtfreter completed 17 of 33 passes after misfiring eight straight times early in the first half. Valley receiver Kevin Carlsen had six catches for 172 yards and Early had six catches for 117 yards with two touchdowns.
