Groseclose Helps Chapman Win Seventh in Row

Cary Groseclose scored from 15 yards with two minutes left in sudden-death overtime to lead Chapman to a 1-0 victory over The Master’s in nonconference women’s soccer Tuesday at Chapman.

Groseclose’s shot sailed over the goalkeeper to give Chapman (10-6-2) its seventh win in a row. Chapman outshot The Master’s, 27-4. Kim Rudloff made two saves for Chapman and Rachel Gassoway made 13 for The Master’s (4-15-1).

In Golden State Athletic Conference women’s soccer:

Azusa Pacific 3, Concordia 0--Crystal Rodriguez had 14 saves in the loss for Concordia (3-11, 1-6). Janay Duran, Kimber Carter, Celeste Mitchell and Melissa Myers each scored for Azusa Pacific (17-0, 6-0), which clinched the conference title.
