Thousand Oaks 17, Royal 7--Wes Cobos rushed for 190 yards and two touchdowns in 29 carries to pace the Lancers on their home field.

Thousand Oaks (3-4-1, 2-1-1) overcame a 7-0 halftime deficit when Cobos ran for 144 yards and scored both of his touchdowns in the second half

Cobos scored on a three-yard run on the Lancers’ first possession of the third quarter, capping a 62-yard drive.

Thousand Oaks took the lead on a 31-yard field goal by Richard Grossman late in the third quarter.

Cobos, a senior tailback, ran 33 yards for a score with 4:32 to play.

Royal quarterback Dustin Cruz, playing for the first time since returning from a knee injury, completed 10 of 12 passes for 120 yards. Cruz gave the Highlanders (3-5, 1-4) a 7-0 lead on a one-yard sneak in the first quarter.

Kevin Krause of Royal caught five passes for 60 yards.
