A man robbed a Mission Viejo bank Thursday afternoon, pointing a gun at a teller and demanding $50 and $100 bills, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
The robber walked into Glendale Federal Bank in the 25300 block of Marguerite Parkway at 3:30 p.m. and pointed a small semiautomatic handgun at the teller, according to sheriff’s Lt. Stan Jacquot.
She began to hand him some money, but he stopped her and said he only wanted $50 and $100 bills. He fled the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The man was described as white, about 30 years old, 5-feet-10, 150 pounds, with short brown hair. He was wearing a dark baseball cap, sunglasses, a blue short-sleeved shirt and jeans.
