Low-Cost Pet Shots Offered at 5 Clinics

Share

Five low-cost pet vaccination clinics are available this fall in the Valley. The clinics are sponsored by the Southern California Veterinary Medical Assn. and Los Angeles Animal Services.

Rabies vaccinations will be available for cats and dogs for $4. Rabies inoculations provide three years of protection for dogs and cats that are 1yearold or older. Dogs ages 4 to 11 months and cats ages 3 to 11 months are protected for one year.

State, county and city ordinances require dogs 4 months of age and older be vaccinated against rabies. In addition, a once-a-year, six-in-one vaccination will be available for dogs for $12, and a $12 four-in-one vaccination will be offered for cats. Two other common dog vaccines, coronavirus and bordetella, will be offered for $9 each.
