Rio Hondo Prep 41, Campbell Hall 14--Jacob Blake scored all of Rio Hondo Prep’s six touchdowns with runs of eight, 19, 37 and 33 yards, a 75-yard punt return and by combining with quarterback Sergio Villalobos on a 19-yard pass play.

Blake rushed 10 times for 146 yards for the Kares (2-0) and had four receptions for 67 yards. Villalobos completed six of 12 passes for 107 yards.

Campbell Hall (1-1) grabbed an early 7-0 lead when quarterback Aaron Kerr scored with 4:07 remaining in the first quarter on a three-yard keeper. But Rio Hondo came back with two second-quarter touchdowns in the form of Blake’s eight-yard run followed by the punt return.

Rio Hondo Prep held Kerr to 52 yards passing on six completions in 18 attempts with one interception. However, Kerr did have a six-yard touchdown pass to Tanner Ragland to tie the score, 14-14, with 1:08 remaining in the first half.

The Villalobos-to-Blake pass play put the Kares on top to stay with 47 seconds remaining in the half.

Sean Porter rushed 12 times for 38 yards for Campbell Hall, which was penalized nine times for 85 yards.
