Canyon 9, Santa Ana Valley 3--Aram Keulian had two doubles and Aaron Dalzell had three hits for host Canyon (15-4, 8-1).

Sonora 5, Troy 2--Sonora (9-10, 5-4) broke a 2-2 tie in the seventh, scoring three runs on an error, wild pitch and a sacrifice fly by Jeff Padgett.

Sunny Hills 4, Buena Park 0--Nathan Hochgesang (3-2) struck out seven in a two-hitter and had a double and an RBI for host Sunny Hills (15-5, 8-1).

In the Garden Grove League:

Garden Grove 14, No. 8 Los Amigos 5--Matt Crippen had three hits and three RBIs and pitched the sixth and seventh to earn the victory for host Garden Grove (8-8, 4-3).

No. 4 La Quinta 9, Santiago 3--Eric Seale (8-1) struck out 10 and walked one in a three-hitter for visiting La Quinta (19-1, 7-0).

Pacifica 18, Bolsa Grande 2 (5 innings, mercy rule)--Jon Dorenbos hit a three-run home run and Adam Randall added a two-run home run for visiting Pacifica (9-10, 4-3). Randall had four RBIs and three hits, giving him 10 hits in the last three games.

In the Golden West League:

No. 1 Servite 11, Ocean View 1 (5, mercy)--Ben Francisco had a double, home run and four RBIs for Servite (16-2, 9-0).

Westminster 8, Saddleback 0--Freddie Rodriguez (4-3) struck out six in a two-hitter for Westminster (12-6-1, 6-3).

In the Pacific Coast League:

Aliso Niguel 17, Estancia 5 (6, mercy)--Pitcher Courtney Hemerick (3-1) hit a two-run home run in the first for Aliso Niguel (12-7, 7-2). Kyle Mowery had four hits, including three doubles, and four RBIs for the Wolverines.

Laguna Hills 10, Laguna Beach 4--Jeff Fischer and Chris Lee each had two hits and three RBIs for host Laguna Hills (9-11, 4-5).

University 2, Costa Mesa 1--Sophomore Jay Nichols’ two-out double in the bottom of the sixth inning drove in Andy Dennis with the winning run for University (9-10-1, 7-1-1), which moved into first place alone. Costa Mesa is 10-5-1, 6-2-1.

In the Sea View League:

Corona del Mar 12, Santa Margarita 1 (6, mercy)--Eric Wiethorn hit two home runs for visiting Corona del Mar (11-5, 7-2).

Irvine 17, El Toro 2 (5, mercy)--Terry Parker’s grand slam highlighted a 13-run third inning for Irvine (11-8, 5-4). Josue Lopez hit his 11th home run for the Chargers (11-7, 4-5).

In the South Coast League:

No. 3 Mater Dei 15, Capistrano Valley 10--Josh Hansen had four hits, including two home runs, and five RBIs; Steve Henderson had a home run and four RBIs, and Jon Kinney had a home run and three RBIs for the Monarchs (13-4, 8-1).

No. 5 Trabuco Hills 11, Mission Viejo 0--Todd Gelatka (5-1) struck out 11 and hit a home run and Brian Murphy had two hits and three RBIs for visiting Trabuco Hills (14-4, 8-1).

San Clemente 3, Dana Hills 2--Jeff Goodman (5-2) struck out 12 and gave up no walks and Billy Conrad hit a home run in the first for host San Clemente (12-6, 6-3).

In the Sunset League:

No. 6 Esperanza 8, Huntington Beach 0--Patrick Rooney and David Nicholson each hit doubles in the second to help host Esperanza (12-7, 5-4) score six runs.

No. 10 Los Alamitos 13, Edison 1 (5, mercy)--Winning pitcher Greg Schwenn struck out the first seven and finished with nine strikeouts and Greg Castillo had a home run and three RBIs for the Griffins (11-9, 5-4).
