Rose Float Moniker in the Doghouse
The Glendale City Council voted unanimously Tuesday to accept a flowered basset hound as the city’s entry in the 2000 Tournament of Roses Parade, but will scratch its name: Party Animal.
City officials decided that the name did not fit Glendale’s image.
The council directed the Glendale Rose Float Assn. to come up with a new name and forwarded it a list of 25 suggestions submitted by local residents and others.
