A memorial service for a 2-year-old Michigan boy who drowned over the weekend while on a visit to his grandmother’s home in Brea will be held this afternoon.
Collin Drake Lepora died at 8:33 p.m. Saturday after falling into a backyard pool belonging to his grandmother’s neighbor, said the toddler’s aunt, Cathy Swinnerton. Swinnerton said that the family is unsure how the boy got into the neighbor’s yard before his family and a neighbor discovered him at the bottom of the pool.
Collin was visiting his grandmother while on vacation with his mother and three brothers, who recently moved to Sterling Heights, Mich., Swinnerton said.
The memorial service is at Yorba Linda Friend’s Church, 5211 Lakeview Ave., Yorba Linda, at 3 p.m.
