Lancaster Drops Another One

One Lancaster error led to three unearned runs and the JetHawks lost, 7-6, Tuesday night at High Desert in front of 1,348.

JetHawk starter Neil Longo (4-7) gave up three earned runs in 4 1/3 innings.

Harvey Hargrove hit a grand slam in the eighth inning and Peanut Williams hit a home run in the fourth for the JetHawks (41-75, 18-28 in the second half).

Second baseman Jermaine Clark’s three-run home run in the eighth inning broke a 7-7 tie and carried the JetHawks past Lake Elsinore, 10-7, on Monday night at the Hangar.

Third baseman Cirilo Cruz, left fielder Hargrove, first baseman Williams, designated hitter Greg Connors and right fielder Alex Fernandez also hit home runs for Lancaster.

Brendon Cowsill of Lake Elsinore, formerly of Crescenta Valley High, was chased after allowing four runs in three innings.
