These Predictions Came Up a Little Short
I had to chuckle after watching Martina Hingis win another tennis tournament last weekend. Is this the same Hingis who was described as “over the hill at 19” by one of The Times’ esteemed sportswriters? We were told Hingis is too short at 5 feet 7 and not powerful enough, and with possibly the weakest serve in the game.
I think she is every inch a champion, and will continue to silence her critics.
