Ventura County Roundup : OXNARD : Man Surprises Burglar at His House

An Oxnard man came home Saturday morning and surprised a shotgun-toting intruder who was burglarizing his house, police said.
The burglary, which turned into an armed robbery, occurred about 9:30 a.m. at a house in the 600 block of Bluebell Place, police said.
The robber stole cash, a cellular telephone, a cordless phone and the victim’s loaded shotgun, police said. The homeowner was not injured.
The intruder is described as a light-skinned Latino, 18 or 19 years old and clean shaven with a shaved head. He was wearing a gray T-shirt and black pants and drove off in a small red American-model pickup truck.
