In other tournament games:

No. 8 Villa Park 66, Moreno Valley Rancho Verde 47--Freshman Brice Phaler had 15 points to lead Villa Park (6-1), which plays Esperanza tonight in the semifinals at 8 p.m. Rancho Verde is 5-3.

Capistrano Valley 61, Santa Ana 42--Junior Justin Demere scored 15 points and sophomore Matt Sweany scored 13 points to lead Capistrano Valley (5-3).

Esperanza 70, No. 9 Brea Olinda 58--Junior Anthony Vicencia scored 20 points, including five three-pointers, to lead Esperanza (4-4). Doug Brown scored 15 points and Lloyd Walls added 13 points for the Aztecs.

Ryan Wilbur led all scorers with 24 points for Brea Olinda (4-3).

In the Avalon tournament:

Anaheim 70, Los Angeles Salesian 61--Stephen Miller had 16 points for Anaheim (6-3). Salesian is 4-2.

Heritage Christian 67, Fairmont 56--Matt Winter had 19 points, 10 rebounds and six steals and Matt Williams had 15 points and 14 rebounds for Heritage Christian (4-3). Fairmont is 4-5.

In the Orlando (Fla.) tournament:

Edison 66, Atlanta Walker 41--Steve Henderson scored 16 points and Kyle McCarter scored 13, including three three-pointers, for Edison (3-3).

In the Murrieta Valley tournament:

No. 5 Marina 71, Menifee Paloma Valley 69--Marina’s Dustin Kaatz hit a short jumper with four seconds remaining to give Marina the victory in pool play.

Kaatz had 23 points and 13 rebounds and Chris DeLuca blocked 10 shots for Marina (7-1). Paloma Valley is 6-3.

In the Sonora tournament:

Sonora 69, Whittier California 59--Travis Rogers scored 22 points and Jacob Trejo had 12, all on three-pointers, for Sonora (3-5) in the consolation game.

In the Trabuco Hills tournament:

Laguna Hills 58, Fontana Miller 56 (OT)--Laguna Hills’ Alvaro Lua hit a three-pointer with five seconds remaining to send the game into overtime. Marshall Houser had 19 points and nine rebounds for the Hawks (5-3).

In the Troy tournament:

Garden Grove 42, Santiago 34--Paul Guzman scored 12 points for Garden Grove, which started the consolation game with a 12-4 run. Nghia Ho scored 14 points to lead Santiago. Garden Grove (2-4) plays Century on Saturday in the consolation final.

In the Vista Tri-City Christian tournament:

St. Margaret’s 93, CEDU 43--Ghanim Marouf scored 31 points and Weston Begg scored 19 points to lead St. Margaret’s (4-4) in a pool-play game.

In nonleague games:

Fullerton 47, Western 38--Sophomore Geo Villalba scored seven of his 14 points in the opening quarter, which helped Fullerton (7-1) to 9-2 lead.

Tarbut V’ Torah 73, Saddleback Valley Christian 41--Steven Echbali scored 16 points and Noam Dashti had 10 points and 10 rebounds for host Tarbut V’ Torah (6-1).
